Found Note

I have been so busy lately. I know I have a lot to catch up on, reading and writing, but will be busy the next few days. Sorry. I owe Muse a reply on her disclosure post and I read a very interesting post by CJ on genealogy that I want to comment on. But I was going through some things in my storage area and came across this note probably given to my husbands great-aunt from someone with a very shaky hand… I wanted to share it:

On This Day:

Mend a quarrel

Search for a forgotten friend

Dismiss a suspicion, replace it with trust.

Write a letter to someone who misses you

Encourage a youth who has lost faith

Keep a promise

Forget an old grudge

Examine your demands on others and vow to reduce them.

Fight for a principle

Express your gratitude

Overcome an old fear

Take two minutes to appreciate the beauty of nature

Tell someone you love him/her

Tell them again

and again

and again.

That’s beautiful, BD. So simple but affirming. What a lovely gesture for someone to have given that to your great-aunt.

I particularly liked the take two minutes to appreciate nature. We could all use a little more time appreciating the beauty of what we have, don’t you think? Sometimes it’s easy to forget that it’s the simple things which make life worthwhile.

Oh my Goodness! Peter…you’re back! It is so nice to hear that you’re alive and kicking. Geez…

Have a few things to get done for tonight and will pop over after I hand out the candies tonight. Thanks!

    How good to see you…..

That was a beautiful note CJ. I imagine it was copied from something. I’ll have to look it up sometime. I read your last post and wonderful family story. Hope to get over and comment sometime tonight. Been a busy week!

You are so right, it is the simple things in life that are the most pleasurable. To me anyway. Thanks for stopping by. :)
